As we go about our days, we're continually amazed by the beauty we see around us. Beauty is not only seen in creation but also in our daily experiences. Christ died for us so that we might live as His sons and daughters to bring Him glory. Glory is seen in a conversation with a stranger or how God miraculously orchestrates a series of events. We're passionate about capturing glimpses of God's all-surpassing glory in all aspects of life in hopes that you would be encouraged to seek His glory in the world. We also hope that this journal will continue to challenge ourselves to intentionally seek and be in awe of the glory of God around us.
God's Doing.
When I came to Taiwan a few months ago, my parents introduced me to a pastor of a local church who welcomed me into their church family. Today, after church, we shared with the pastor that we'll be visiting a missionary on Christmas day. The missionary serves on a small fishing island off the coast of Taiwan where few Christians exist. Michael has a long time relationship with the missionary and the children on the island, dating back to 2011. He visits them periodically whenever he's back in Taiwan and was excited to introduce me to the ministry being done there. The missionary invited us to visit and attend a Christmas program that would be led by a church group. To our surprise, the pastor explained that he was that church group who would be leading the program! Out of all the churches across Taiwan, the very church that God led me to months ago would be serving the small coastal island on Christmas that we had planned to visit! Who else could have orchestrated such circumstances other than God himself? In the grand scheme of things, such a "coincidence" doesn't seem like a big deal, but this specific instance, God reminded us that He's constantly present in our life and guiding our steps.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. - Ephesians 1:3-6
On a side note, I've been picking up photography as a hobby and learning from Michael. Here are some of the moments we captured from the past week. :)
